Supporting young, Welsh sporting talent is very important to AJC Medical Secretary Services.
It is so hard to gain funding for most Welsh athletes, so we try to do our little bit to help.
We have chosen to offer sponsorship to Angelo Doria who is a distance runner from Bridgend, competing for Bridgend Athletics while completing a PGCE at Swansea University.
He Races everything from 1500m to the half marathon.
Angelo has represented South Wales at the Inter-Counties and Welsh Inter-Regional Cross Country Championships.
He holds personal bests of 15:45 for 5K, 32:12 for 10K and 1:11:16 for the half marathon. A steeplechase specialist too, Angelo has twice claimed the LUCA 3000m Steeplechase title.
This season, Angelo is aiming for selection to Swansea's BUCS cross country team and building towards Welsh U23 selection, with the long-term goal of one day representing Wales.
